Have you guys been able to try out some of the newer prosthesis that are controlled via brain impulses? Good to see your recovery going well!

Hi, i was wondering if alex has to take any special precautions with his new lips? Are they more or less fragile than other parts of his body?

      Hi Andrew

As it is Alex’s shoulder not lip muscles it does not function in the same way . He can feel his new lips but they are not fragile as such.

      I hope this helps

That does help, I have seen some full lip replacements and I don’t think most people understand how great of a job his plastic surgeons did. Most full lip replacements I have seen look awful, scary bad. Alex’s look amazing in comparison, especially now that a lot of the swelling has gone down. I really commend his surgical team they did amazing work.

I was wondering if Alex has considered having the skin that form his new lips tattooed? I have seen online artists that specialize in recreations and color transforming from those who have had transplants and excessive scaring. I was just curious if that’s something he considered.
