In April, whilst celebrating a good friends birthday, I agreed to do the Great South Run. These things sound so good to do after having a few beers!
Everyone that knows me will agree that I am by no means a runner, and that I actually dislike running, ALOT!
I was going to do the run just to prove to myself that I can do it. However, on April the 28th my wife and I sat down to watch TV. We tuned into a programme that really touched our hearts. The documentary was about Alex Lewis.
After watching the documentary about Alex it inspired me to do the run for Alex’s trust, raising awareness and more importantly raising a few pounds.
Having a young family myself, Alex’s story has been the inspiration I need to get training and not only complete the run, but also push hard enough to do it in a respectable time.
The more sponsorship I get the more spurred on I am to train.
